Our team is close-knit and friendly, with a diverse range of experience. We have partners and accountants who joined us as graduates, as well as those who have moved from firms of all sizes, or transitioned from industry to practice.
Our range of experiences enables us to support all types of businesses and private clients. This keeps the work varied and gives new colleagues plenty of scope to expand their skillset.
Firth Parish has been passed down from the capable hands of one generation of partners to the next. When a partner retires, they pass the baton on to the next generation of partners, who will, in time, do the same. Our goal is to continue this tradition by training and preparing our future partners now. Of course, not everyone who joins us is interested in taking that step, but if they are we offer support and mentoring to make sure they are ready when their time comes.

Part of what makes our team so exceptional is our range of expertise and knowledge. Those who are new to accounting can learn from our more experienced colleagues, whilst those who are well-established in the industry welcome fresh ideas, skills and perspectives. This is what keeps us rooted in our values but also makes us dynamic enough to change and adapt to our clients needs.
To retain the balance of skillsets we have, we look for accountants and support staff at all stages of their career.
As an authorised training office for both the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA), we can support you in gaining professional accountancy qualifications. We can also support with training in other areas such as tax, payroll and AAT.
Alternatively, if you are already qualified and/or experienced and are looking for the next step in your career, whether that's moving from another practice or from an industry position, we would welcome your expertise as we are always open to fresh approaches and new ideas.
Good people and communication skills are just as important as good technical ability. You must feel comfortable with working closely with clients from differing backgrounds, building trust and explaining things in a way that makes sense to that particular client. You also need to be a team player, ready to support other colleagues when needed.
If that sounds like you, then get in touch. Email careers@firth-parish.com to discuss a career with us.
